The Kuala Lumpur International Journal of Economics and Development (KLIJED) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in this peer-reviewed journal is an essential contribution to the development of a credible and respected body of knowledge. It reflects the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them.

All parties involved in the publishing process (authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher) are expected to adhere to ethical standards at all stages of publication.

Duties of Authors
Authors must:
- Ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism
- Properly cite and acknowledge all sources
- Avoid multiple, redundant, or simultaneous submissions
- Provide accurate data and avoid fabrication or falsification
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Agree to corrections or retractions when necessary

Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Making publication decisions based on academic merit and relevance
- Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer-review process
- Avoiding conflicts of interest
- Taking action against ethical violations when identified

Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers must:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts
- Identify relevant published work not cited by authors
- Report any suspected ethical issues (plagiarism, duplication, etc.)
- Decline review if conflicts of interest exist

Duties of Publisher
The publisher is committed to:
- Supporting editorial independence
- Ensuring integrity of the academic record
- Preventing commercial influence on editorial decisions
- Addressing ethical issues transparently and responsibly

Publication Misconduct
This journal does not tolerate:

- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification

Any violation will result in actions such as:

Corrections and Retractions
